Yes they do! I hope you are not offended by the term. Saying black lives matter is not anti-white or anti police.
Black Lives Matter is a modern day promotion of the social injustices Black Americans face and it does not support hatred or injustice.

Many people’s response to Black Lives Matter is All Lives Matter. My response is, “All bones matter, but when you have a broken bone, that’s the bone you focus on. That’s the bone you nurture and heal. You have to repair what’s broken.”
If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor.Desmund Tutu
Right now in America we are facing two pandemics, Covid 19 and racism. Covid 19 is fairly new and we seem to have all the answers. Racism has been here for years and there are no answers because no one likes to talk about race relations. No one wants to deal with the truth.
You’re not to be so blind with patriotism that you can’t face reality. Wrong is wrong, no matter who does it or says it.Malcom X
Nothing has changed in 2020. Segregation ended 53 years ago and for some reason we have made minimal progress, however racism and racist behavior is at an all time high.
Segregation ended 53 years however, judgement based off the color of has never ended.
This week has been very difficult for the African American community, and we are hurt, the world should be hurt. It’s really sad many people with platforms are going on business as usual without acknowledging the elephant in the room.
An African American man, George Floyd was murdered by a Caucasian police officer, and it was recorded (nothing new). The video was heart breaking, as the police officer held his knee on George Floyd’s neck for over 9 minutes. He was screaming he can’t breathe and was screaming for his mom, who is deceased. He was in distress, and the officer killed him. More surveillance video show the other three officers were restraining him as well.
Well, the officer has been arrested. However, we are demanding the other three officers be arrested and charged. While I see this as swift progress, I will not be happy or at peace until all the officers are convicted. If anyone else did the actions they would be locked up and held accountable.
No one is above the laws of the land.
The only reason the cop was arrested is due to the community calling for his arrest. The police officer was arrested 4 days after release of the video. However, since then the country has been subject to protest, both violent and nonviolent.
The protesters started to riot and loot, and the world paid attention. However, when Colin Kaepernick took a knee for the social injustice of black people, the world paid attention, black balled him from the NFL, and ignored him.
I have one question for anyone who reads this:
“What do you want African Americans to do?”
What do we need to do so that black and brown people will not be killed. When a person is murdered, their life can not be manufactured. When the protesters are looting and damaging things, these places can be manufactured and repaired.
I have so many questions, with very few answers. Maybe you can help. What needs to be done so that black lives matter?
This blog post is dedicated to George Floyd, Ahmad Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and all of the lives we have lost because you were black.
I would also like to say my platform, is very small but it’s my voice, it really pains me, fellow bloggers have platforms and ignore real life issues.
